You don’t have to spend a dime to have fun or you can have one of the most romantic, elegant and culture filled vacations ever. C’mon, the Island is waiting.

Beaches

Galveston Island has 32 miles of shoreline. Along its beaches are parks and restaurants and something for everyone. There is fishing, swimming, surfing and kayaking and while you’re enjoying the beach stop by the Pleasure Pier right on the Gulf of Mexico. If you want to spend the day at the beach, Stewart Beach has showers, restrooms and plenty of things to do. Don’t forget to stop and have lunch at one of the many restaurants along the Seawall and pick up a souvenir at one of the beach shops.

Family

History

Galveston’s Pelican Island, is a former immigration station site, features the USS CAVALLA World War II submarine and the USS STEWART, one of only three surviving destroyer escorts, both available for tours.
